Torrential rainfall in the area has caused flooding in several spots on campus, including the Pit and the basement of Granville Towers. There is also standing water and flooding in Ram Village, several residence halls (including Kenan, McIver, Stacy and Mangum) and other areas on campus and in the surrounding neighborhood.

Individuals should avoid walking or playing in flooded areas or through moving water. Use a stick to check the firmness of the ground before walking.
