Adverse Weather: Campus at Condition 1. Regular Operations will resume at 8 a.m. Saturday morning

The University moved to Condition 1 at noon today. We will stay in Condition 1 until 8 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, at which point the University will resume normal operations.

Classes are now operating on a regular schedule. Individual faculty may use discretion to adjust class schedules and arrange make-up work for students unable to report to class due to the weather event.

The campus community should be extra cautious as some walkways may be slippery and snow and ice may slide off nearby buildings as they melt. Allow plenty of time to arrive to campus safely and be extra vigilant of your surroundings.

Condition 1 (at noon on Friday, Jan. 19 until 8 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20)

Current conditions may not pose severe safety risks or logistical challenges, but an event has significant potential to negatively affect – or already is affecting – local area commuting, important campus services, or the efficient functioning of campus buildings and grounds. Employees, faculty, and students should consider their own personal circumstances to determine whether to report late, leave early, or not report at all.
